History

Trinity Episcopal Day School, a neighborhood school near the LSU campus, focuses on Pre-K through 5th grades. Trinity specializes in elementary education and keeps classroom sizes small to allow for more personalized instruction and creative teaching techniques.  The school was established in 1948 as a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church. The school provdes spiritual and ethical teachings to nurture character development in the whole child.

Experienced, credentialed teachers are in every classroom, where students learn how to apply language arts, mathematics, science and technology to their everyday lives. Teachers also guide students through enrichment programs in French, music, art, library, religion, computers and physical education.

When compared to students from around the country on standardized tests, each year Trinity students receive significantly higher median scores than the national group in every category and out perform students at comparable private schools in most subjects. Two areas of particular pride are our students' demonstrated abilities in quantitative reasoning and mathematics. By and large, students leave Trinity well-rounded and well-prepared for any middle-school challenge.

Trinity is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education and accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES),  a recognized accrediting association of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
