In PreK-3, project based learning is rounded out with Handwriting Without Tears, a program that ensures our students receive the foundational skill so letter formation, letter and word spacing and differentiating between capital and lowercase letters. In PreK-4, project based learning is complimented by Fundations, a component of our school-wide English Language Arts curriculum. Fundations supports students’ phonemic awareness and emerging understanding of the alphabetic principles of letter-sound association, alphabetical order and letter formation. These early literacy skills lead to word recognition and reading.
