Welcome to the Library's Information Page!

All classes visit the library weekly, and students may come individually whenever the library is open, with their teacher's permission. The Coughlin Library serves the students, faculty, and staff of Trinity Episcopal Day School.  The library program aims to encourage students to develop a love of reading and to teach them to be life-long learners.

Students in 1st through 5th grade participate in the Accelerated Reader program.  After reading a book that has an associated AR quiz, the student takes the quiz on a computer and immediate results are given. Classroom teachers use the program to build enthusiasm for reading and to gauge reading comprehension.  Books in the library with associated AR quizzes are labeled by color to designate reading levels:  orange for Book Level 1, green for Book Level 2, yellow for Book Level 3, red for Book Level 4, and purple for Book Level 5.  Click on a link below to access various library resources.
